Chef Jorge Mosquera has over 25 years of experience in the kitchen. He was born and raised in Ecuador but moved to the United States and discovered his passion for cooking. He has worked and managed restaurants throughout Illinois, and has spent many years as a Sous Chef in Hyatt and Marriott facilities. He has been the complex executive chef for various Hilton Hotel locations in Chicago for the past six years. His ambition has always been to own his own company. Although there was some risk, there was significantly greater incentive and passion to start a firm in 2020. Pasta To Go was given the option to open a shop in Elmhurst, Illinois, and it did so in October 2020. After a local Facebook group page was created to encourage local companies, Pasta To Go received a lot of support from the city of Elmhurst. Pasta To Go quickly became the most talked about restaurant on the page, which now has over 5,000 members. Pasta To Go promotes strong and supportive communities and is proud to call Elmhurst home and the birthplace of the company.
