Owners Ronald Liu and Jessica Chiep met while studying at the University of Connecticut. The two pursued occupations that were nothing like the food industry. Jessica worked as a Cytogeneticist and Ronald worked in marketing and sales in the Boston region. The two shared a penchant for traveling and cooking in their spare time, which cultivated a profound appreciation for the cuisines they met while traveling. With their passion for food, the couple ventured into uncharted terrain and opened their first restaurant, H.A. Cafe. H.A.
