Hamburger Heaven opened it's doors in May 1948. An ad in the Elmhurst Leader newspaper announced the opening of Hamburger Heaven, and it's menu featuring the "Double Decker Hamburger & Richardson’s Draft Root Beer”. Decades have passed and we are proud to let everyone know that we are still serving the "Original Double Decker since 1948". Funny things happen that when you come to Hamburger Heaven. Time stands still, and memories rush back... just ask our guests. We are your quintessential old school walk up diner that serves top notch nostalgic food to keep our past linked to our present. Voted the best neighborhood favorite for many years, Hamburger Heaven has been in newspapers, magazines, and local shows like Chicago’s Best the Emmy Award-winning show in chanel 9 WGN.
